Birthday Girl Swallowed Her Earring

My niece Hannah Lisette just turned one last June 16. And you have read it right, she is the toddler I am referring to, to have swallowed her earring. Here are some photos of her and her simple birthday celebration.

Baby Hannah in Red dress and Orange socks.

A Goldilocks cake from Kuya Vin.

The food.

So, really, what do you do when your child swallows her earring or ring?

- You can actually bring the child in the ER if they acted uneasy after the incident.
- You can request for an Xray to check where exactly it is located.
- Do not freak out, you just have to give it time because after 3-4 days or a week maybe, you'll find it in the child's stool.

Welcome Home Friend

Mommy Rubz, one of the most helpful Mommy blogger started Reviewer’s Haven First Blog Contest. I decided to join for fun and of course, the intention (or the wish) to win. Reviewer's Haven is a place via the net where you can find ample thoughts, tips, reviews and recommendations from a cool Mom and experienced blogger as well. I am joining and would like to share the fun with a friend, Pia.

I made this to welcome her, Pia, who has started blogging but left and forgot about it. LoL! She's been a very good, loving and dependable friend to me. There are only few who has the ears and heart to listen and I'm lucky to have her for she's one of them. I'd like to congratulate her as well, she's pregnant on her 3rd at last. We are all wishing for her to have a healthy baby girl this time. Welcome back home Mare!

WBFC, Birthdays & a Daughter's Love

I'm joining my blog, Septembercharm to the 11th season of the Weekend Blog Follower Caravan. It is my first time joining actually. Just like any blogger, I'd like to be able to connect with other bloggers and gain followers too. Everyone is welcome to join here, all you have to do is click on the badge.

"The WBFC is a simple online blogger-helping-blogger weekly meme. It was designed for bloggers to help each other in terms of blog followers either through Google Friend Connect and email subscribers."

Now this is an early Mother's Day online greeting card from my daughter. She created it via an application of NIDO in Facebook and it was shown in 2 digital billboards last April 28-April 30. And through this post, I'd like to thank my daughter Keanna Steffi for being thoughtful & sweet. I love you & Roey too sweetie!

Today also marks my Dad's birthday. He could have been 65 if he were only alive. He's been with out BOSS for 27 years now and I'm sure that he's now happier since Mama has joined them. I failed to visit him today though, I feel sorry about it. Told my daughters about his special day and cooked simple Carbonara for dinner too. I'm going to offer a prayer for the repose of his soul of course.
Few days from now will be Mama's birthday, could have been her 68th. Since Holy Cross is just a ride away from here, we'll visit her. I'm planning to bring flowers and a small cake perhaps. Okay, I'm a little biased...sorry Dad! =)

Thanks for reading and following! I will definitely follow back in case I'm not following your blog yet. For more interesting posts, please click on the badges below. Have a great day everyone!

Our Holy Week

Since hubby works in a BPO industry, they still have work even during the Holy Week. So, I was left with the kids the whole of the Lenten season. We were able to participate in the Palm Sunday mass. I had them watch Joseph: King of Dreams. We joined the procession last Good Friday. It was their first time and I was glad that we brought Roey's stroller that time. We woke up before 5am last Easter Sunday to join what we Filipinos call the "Salubong".

I regret that I wasn't able to bring my camera during the Easter Sunday early dawn procession. As a parent, I'd like my kids to realize in the early part of their lives that HE suffered for each one of us. So, by simply getting up very early to join the procession, going to church and through praying, we are already giving HIM "thank yous". My elder daughter can understand it already and I thank my Mom for helping me out on that.

We normally go out and join Easter egg-hunting at the malls for the past few years but skipped that activity this year. I wasn't feeling well since Saturday after a minor home clean up. I'll just upload photos of my bunny princesses next time. Anyhow, I had them enjoy making bubbles instead.

How about you, how was your Holy Week?

A Late Thank You Post

Last March, my kids and I attended Ehrin's birthday party. I left my camera at the party by accident. My friends Sonia and Vic gave it back to me few weeks after. They said that a service crew at Jollibee surrendered it to them.

(Sonia, Vic and their lovely kids)
They were also kind enough to lend me their camera during the graduation of Keanna as a McDo Kiddie crew (my camera batteries were drained). 'Coz of that, I was able to capture photos of my daughter on the said event as souvenirs.
Thank you as well for taking good care of the sleeping toddler Ninong Vic (He is Haley's Godfather), while I was busy taking pictures of big sister Keanna. He He! I owe you & Mareng Sonia a lot!
The red camera bag is theirs. Again, through this blog post, thank you Sonia and Vic. 'Hope that we can spend a summer getaway together with our other friends at least before you leave for NZ.

Weekend Fun

Summer has started and big sister Keanna is always in the look for something fun to do.
So I allow her to enjoy an hour or 2 a day to play her favorite games online.

She's also requesting for something she and her sister can enjoy. Due to that, I have to be creative, haha! Here are some of the activities we all enjoyed last weekend.

I made burgers for their AM snack.

My toddler enjoyed her bath time outside. Something I seldom do when it's not summer 'coz once in the pail, you'll definitely have a hard time stopping her water fun.

They both fell asleep and upon waking up, off they were for their Backyardigans or Hi5 marathon!

That goes my entry to the following memes and if you'd like to see more interesting posts and photos, just go ahead and click on each of the badges below. Have a great day everyone!

My Kiddie Crew

I enrolled Keanna into this annual McDonald's Kiddie Crew Workshop. I've been planning to since she turned 6 but failed to do so. Happy that I was able to grant her wish this year. T'was their first day today (Monday) for the 5 days workshop and she was so excited. They learned the definition of "teamwork" today, they were taught which color coded towels to use for tables, chairs, trays and kitchen. I even saw them dancing before their meal was given. After the 2 hours session and a serving of spaghetti, Keanna told me she's still hungry. Wow! That's something I'd love to hear from her so she'll gain weight. Hehe!

They were tasked to memorize the song "Make It Happen", so as few dance steps taught to them. We are both excited on their grand graduation day. Hope our friend Jillian joins the fun!

So this goes as my entry for MYM (late!) and RT! Photo grabbed from McDonald's Ph website.

Quick pick

Since the school year started, I've been looking out for snacks I can give to my daughter which she'll eat for her 15 mins break. Well, of course, I have to get some cereals for a quick breakfast in case she's running late for school.

But, aside from the usual sandwiches and packed lunch, she's requested for something she can just grab and enjoy. That is when I bought her these wafer sticks, Champola. I was thinking that she wouldn't like the chocolate flavor so I decided to get the strawberry flavored wafer stick. Of course, because of her love for strawberries, that's what she tasted first and I wasn't surprise that she loved it. Unexpectedly, she loved the choco flavored too and is requesting for me to buy her the Mocha flavor next time.

7Th month

What?
It has been 7 months?
I just can't believe how time flies fast.
Haley Roneese just turned 7 months old last May 27.
In that 7 mos. she's had a lot of milestones already.

She already have her first 2 middle teeth (bottom).
She's mastered grasping objects and transfer it from one hand to the other.
She can hold her feeding bottle using both her hands and feet (I think this is a special talent). Once, she heard her sister crying and she started crying as well.
She can already recognize voices and loves to play peek-a-boo.
Cries when she can't see me.
She can snatch food off our plate too.
