Dustless Chalks for Kids

I had this Crayola Dustless Chalk bought for sometime now and had my kids use them just recently.


It may look just like the ordinary chalk but choosing this over the cheaper and ordinary one does have benefits. Aside from the fact that it writes smoother without scratch, it also doesn't break easily.


Having a child with skin asthma ain't easy especially if she loves to doodle a lot. My elder daughter was advised by her dermatologist not to directly hold chalks because it leaves particles in her hand which causes it to itch and develop rashes. In addition, ordinary chalk's particles floats in the air which we get to inhale. With a dustless chalk, this can be avoided. Its particles are too heavy which directly falls to the ground instead of floating. My elder daughter didn't complain of itching after using it. She enjoyed drawing for her younger sister, actually.

Off to Baguio

I've been to Baguio twice already and I definitely love it there. It was during my 28th birthday when I've thought of a family escapade away from home. My Mom has always dreamed of going to Baguio, hubby and Keanna at the same tie has never gone to Baguio too. That made me decide for this 2 days trip.

I took a picture of them, first timers,hehe! Little Keanna, 3 yrs old then in a Pink tee & trousers was caught blowing a tiny petal she picked from the road.

The trip also served as a gift to myself, so there should be a solo picture, right? LoLz. We were able to relax a bit and enjoyed the cool & fresh air. SM Baguio was already in existence then and the place we were able to rent was just 5 minutes walk away, so we've dine in and out of the mall too! The Pink crochet hat Keanna's wearing in the first photo is really mine. I bought it from Baguio the first time I visited the place back in 1997. The cellphone pouch/bag I have here is something that I still use up to now.

Shadow Shot Sunday: Brigada Eskwela, 2011

The Department of Education just recently started their 2011 Brigada Eskwela program. It's nice to realize that a lot of people, even companies are joining this brigade with their manpower support and material donations. The Philippine Army, in cooperation with DepEd participated the National Maintenance Week.

Just so you'd know, Brigada Eskwela started in 2003. In cooperation with civic organizations, parents, students and NGOs, this annual activity by the DepEd intend to help public schools in the clean up and repair at least before each school year starts.

This but a nice way to reach out and help, right?
